Joint applications for Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Fellowship positions at SDU’s research team Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) (Faculty of Business & Social Sciences, Odense, Denmark)

The SHARE group at University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is looking for excellent and highly motivated researchers to submit joint projects under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships action.

Job posted by University of Southern Denmark (SDU):

The SHARE group focuses on collection of Danish SHARE survey data. These data are merged into a European data base including data from 28 other European countries for studying the effects of health, social, economic and environmental policies over the life-course of European citizens and beyond. From 2004 until today, 530,000 in-depth interviews with 140,000 people aged 50 or older from 28 European countries and Israel have been conducted. Thus, SHARE is the largest pan-European social science panel study providing internationally comparable longitudinal micro data which allow insights in the fields of public health and socio-economic living conditions of European individuals.

Furthermore, the SHARE group, which is anchored in the Econometrics and Data Science platform at the Department of Economics, carries out research using the SHARE database with a focus on the ageing Europe, including inequality of ageing and ageing consequences using machine learning, big data approaches and other advanced econometric methods. The SHARE group’s research activities are furthermore integrated with the Center for Population Dynamic (CPOP), which is a leading ageing research center also hosted at SDU.

We welcome candidates whose fellowship proposal is related to SHARE’s research focus. If successful, the project will lead to a position at our university for two years as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow. We have been very successful in getting grants the past years.

Successful candidate(s) will have a strong international profile, a strong record of research publications, and have demonstrated exceptional potential to excel in scientific research. We offer a uniquely ambitious research environment, and we expect successful applicants to actively engage in the development of the research unit.
If interested in pursuing this opportunity, please forward your CV and a short, motivated application including your research area, project idea and proposed supervisor, and how you and your research relates and could contribute to the SHARE group.

Expressions of interest can be forwarded until 30th of April 2022 to our research support officer at msca@sam.sdu.dk. Selected candidates are invited to participate in an online Marie Curie PF Masterclass on the 16th and 17th of May. The MSCA PF call opens beginning of May and the deadline is September 14th 2022.
